Wisconsin’s annual Work Zone Awareness event on Friday in Edgerton Wisconsin’s Work Zone Awareness Week is April 3-7, 2017 Governor Scott Walker has proclaimed April 3-7, 2017 as Work Zone Awareness Week in Wisconsin. To help prevent traffic crashes in road construction and maintenance work zones that injure and kill motorists and workers, a news conference will be held near the I-39/90 and Rock River bridges in Edgerton, Rock County. Speakers: · Wisconsin Department of Transportation Secretary Dave Ross · Joe Olson, WisDOT Southwest Region Deputy Director · Wisconsin State Patrol Superintendent J.D. Lind · Joe Parisi, Dane County Executive · Duane Jorgensen, Rock County Director of Public Works · Steve Kennedy, Vice President of Rock Road Companies, Inc. When: Friday, March 31, 2017 at 11 a.m. Where: Park and Ride lot at the I-39/90 and WIS 59 interchange (Exit 163) in Edgerton. Directions: I-39/90 northbound and southbound traffic should use Exit 163 (WIS 59), travel east on WIS 59 and follow the signs to the Park and Ride lot. A map is provided at the bottom of this email. Media tours of Rock River bridge work zone will be available, upon request.
